Kelly Funk Recovery Fund
Our friends at Seldom Seen Farm are a vegetable farm in the Indianapolis area owned by John Ferree and Kelly Funk. Sadly Kelly was struck by lightening on Thursday, July 8, 2010 while she was harvesting in the field. She has a long road ahead. Our hearts and prayers go out to them.
Please see their website http://seldomseenfarm.com for details about Kelly and current fund-raising.

Kevin, Tracy, Trae & Lacie
Cooley Family Farm was established in 2001 when Kevin and Tracy purchased a few acres near Lafayette, Indiana on the corner of County Road 900 East and Highway 26.
Our farm began as 6 acres with a house and a barn that had been built in 1901. Since then we have added four high tunnels creating over 7000 square feet of indoor growing space and we are currently renting an additional eight acres. Our produce is made available direct to our customers through our Harvest Basket Subscriptions (CSA), through our "Online Farm Stand", and at the Sagamore West Farmers' Market.
Our farming practices have always been sustainable by nature. We do not use any synthetic chemicals to control weeds or insects. We choose not to use treated, GE or GMO seed. Organic, heirloom and open pollinated seed varieties are among our favorites. To improve our soils we use cover crops, compost, rotation, natural rock based minerals, and OMRI approved amendments. We do not use synthetic fertilizers.
All of our farming practices help us to produce the best tasting and most nutritious food we can for our customers.
Please learn more about us and our farm by continuing to browse our website and be sure to take a look at our virtual farm tour and the photo gallery for an up-close view of our farm.
